Our Pastor

Pastor Diana Foote

Hello! My name is Diana Foote. I was born and raised in Albany, NY. I have been married to Chris Foote for almost 29 years. We have two sons, Josh who is 27 and lives in Arlington, VA, and Cameron who is 25 who lives with us.
I was a Spanish teacher for 30 years and have traveled to many Spanish-speaking countries with students. I began my love of travel when I was a Rotary Exchange Student to Bolivia in high school. I have also traveled to a few European countries with my family.
I attended seminary part-time for the past 5 years while teaching and while doing my internship at Tri-County Lutheran Parish. I graduated with a Master of Divinity from United Lutheran Seminary (Gettysburg) in May of 2025.
I look forward to my first call as a pastor, getting to know the people of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, and serving God by serving others.

Lutheran Service

Our liturgy consists of the following.

Gathering

We begin with announcements and start the service with opening hymns and an initial prayer. This leads to Confession. We silently confess our sins and the pastor absolves the attendees of their sins.

Generally we have three readings, one from the old testament, the Psalms and New Testament. The sermon typically is based on the New Testament reading.

Communion

We take part in the Eucharist as a celebration of the risen Christ. Our choir leads us in song as we process to the table. All are welcome to receive Communion.

Sending

The service concludes with a final blessing and a closing hymn. Fellowship and refreshments are available after the service.
